Happy Monday!

Here are two sisters... one probably saying to the other, "Don't touch that, it's not a good idea". I make quite a few paintings of duo's... probably because I miss my own sister.
We spent last weekend at the coast again and right now I'm feeling pretty good. I hope the absence of grass pollen in my lungs lasts until Thursday when I head west again for 4th of July weekend in Yachats. I brought my little coast studio home this time. I have been so productive while at the coast house... the absence of regular responsibilities. I prepped 5 new panels and pretty much finished the coaster project.
love to all!

New Paintings

These are the paintings I made at the coast. The pink ones are 12"x12" and the blue-green ones are 7"x7".

Oregon Coast World

Twice yearly Yachats, Oregon, population 600, has this recycle/trash day where residents come and dump their unwanted items. There was a lot of laughing going on with complete strangers as they held up their found items. And I snagged a big roll of duct tape!

The weather was sunny and rainy. Courtney, my niece came to visit. (yipee!) Monty always loves company on the couch.

We attended a dog "social" in Yachats where the favorite "dog" was Petunia the pig. Petunia and her owner are walking across the United States to promote cancer awareness.

And these are just a few of the highlights of my week in the pollen free coastal air. Tide pools, maple danish at the Green Salmon, Heidi's cooking, fish and chips, Kristin and Tom, loving on Monty and Jasper the super dogs, green smoothies each am... and painting. I finished a bunch of paintings. To be posted. I love the coast... I belong there.

bye for 10 days!

I'm off to the coast to rest, de-pollenize my lungs, walk with Monty, paint, visit with K and T and my niece!

Yipee!

Mona's Sketchbook

I finished filling up the sketchbook that Mona gave me. Used it right up. Like eating the whole thing. Satisfying. And every time I opened it I thought... "Mona gave me this" and it made me happy.

I'm priming 3 panels for 3 new paintings with these sketches.

It has been raining all last month and now June. I really don't mind, it's warm and there isn't much grass pollen. It is beyond green outdoors. Every shade. The yard is squishy and the weeds are easy to pull.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
Hugs and love, Janice
