When we were kids we put colorful leaves between waxed paper and ironed them. When I came across these I instantly loved them. Stamps sandwiched between wax paper and then sewed. What a lot of work. What will you do with these? I don't know. They already feel perfect to me just the way they are.

Having a bit of trouble getting into "it"...
I have been back in my studio for 5 days. Had to unpack and re-pack things I will probably not use for the next few months. My studio feels strange, no paintings up, no sense of where I left off 2 and 1/2 months ago. I feel clumsy and awkward. I got a new book about Agnes Martin that is helping. She talked about inspiration versus intellect. To remain in inspiration mode, a person can't think too much about "it". I need "it" to start soon.
There are not many manuals about how to keep going for the artist. It is like starting over every time.
I might be feeling sorry for myself.
I worked in my little sketchbook as above.
