April is our anniversary month, 22 years this April 21st!Here we are in the Pearl district dodging raindrops and admiring old brick buildings.
A little list of Portland favorites:Hotel: The Mark Spencer- a block from Powell's Book Store, recently remodeled and now a "green" hotel, cute and quaint, every room has a kitchen and those who drive a hybrid (us) park for free!
Food: Habibi's, great Lebanese food and Saint Cupcake's. Try the coconut cupcakes, they are the best of all the offerings. Cupcake Joe's can't hold a candle to these.
Fun: First Thursday gallery night. We saw James Lavadour's show and it was sublime. Wandering through Powell's books. Walking around the Pearl and window shopping with P and L.

We stopped into a little coffee place called "Half and Half", great lunch, great people watching.

i'm taking notes on portland and on 22 years (c and i are only at 15....). looks like a good time in a great city and i can't wait to check it out in person.
